Venture AOT Getting Started
Claim gear, press Y, and survive the first ten minutes of physics ODM.
Venture AOT (AOT: Venture) punishes habits you brought from other Roblox Attack on Titan games. The first session is not a loot loop. It is a physics exam. If you skip the spawn NPC, mash WASD, or hold Space like a boost button from Attack on Titan Revolution, you will look glitched, empty your gas, and blame the server. This page is the on-ramp: join, un-glitch, equip, then move into ODM controls and how to swing.
The experience is in early access on Roblox with Freeplay and a Closed Community Lore Mode. Developer Apeworm7 (with a second experienced builder after AOT: Resistance) still iterates on gas, maps, and swinging rules. Treat every patch as a reason to re-read updates rather than assuming last week’s binds still feel the same.
Join without mixing up the wrong AOT
Search AOT Venture or open the place at 76637182174061. The official group is AOT: Venture. Do not redeem Revolution family codes, Vengeance crate codes, or Untitled Attack on Titan strings here — they belong to other games. If a friend sent you a Trello for families and spins, you are in the wrong wiki. Bookmark this getting started page and the links hub instead.
Recommended first-hour path:
- Join a public Freeplay server.
- Click the gear NPC immediately.
- Confirm the green equip prompt, then press Y.
- If you cannot walk, rejoin once and press Y again.
- Open settings and look at keybinds before you leave the courtyard.
- Make one short swing, check gas with G, then stop and read gas management.
The spawn glitch (you probably have it)
Creators keep repeating the same opening because it happens to almost everyone. You load in frozen, sliding, or unable to pick up ODM gear. The NPC is right there. Click them. The game hands you the kit. Equip with the green button. Press Y. If the character still refuses to walk, rejoin — do not stand in chat arguing with the physics. After a clean rejoin, press Y again even if you think the gear is already on. Several players in the How To Play comments could not walk until they did this twice.
Once you are mobile, stay near buildings. Open space is how new scouts dump an entire tank trying to look like Levi. Your first goal is not a titan kill. Your first goal is a controlled hook, a reel, and a landing with gas left.
Equip order that actually works
Talk to the NPC, take the kit, then equip handles / ODM before you start looking at cosmetics. Press Y to mount the gear. If blades later snap, R puts a fresh pair back — you do not need a supply station walk of shame on the first death, but you do need to stop slashing stone walls. Keybinds can be remapped in settings; if Q/E feels mirrored compared with another AOT title, change them before muscle memory hardens.
After equip, do this 60-second drill:
- Fire Q, then E, at a nearby facade.
- Hold Space or middle mouse to reel in.
- Release WASD while the cable is live so the physics can swing you.
- Tap Left Shift only after you are airborne.
- Tap G and look at the tank. If it dropped hard, you held boost too long.
That drill is the whole early game. Everything else — nape cuts, skill points, squad play — waits until you can repeat it without panic.
What the first titan fight should look like
You will see a titan before you are ready. Do not ego. Blind first, immobilize, then go for the nape. Missing the neck and “helping a friend” still wastes blades and gas. A clean cut at the right moment beats two sloppy hits. If you have zero skills, play like a trainee on purpose. Skill costs start low and double after the first two unlocks, so dying with a full point wallet is worse than looking cautious. When you can spare points, Gas Burst is the first purchase, not a vanity slash.
If a squad is already farming, join their height instead of dragging titans through the spawn. Online play is the default: share callouts, do not steal the nape on a titan someone already blinded, and land to reload instead of screaming in voice chat. More on roles in squad play.
Modes, review status, and where news actually drops
Freeplay is the public physics sandbox. Closed Community Lore Mode is the structured side — tester footage, new maps, and rules that may not match public Freeplay on the same day. The place has gone under Roblox review at least once (players in June 2026 said it vanished, then returned). If the game page errors, check the group and Discord before assuming the project is dead.

There are no confirmed public promo codes as of September 2026. When a like milestone or tester wave drops a string, it will be listed on the codes hub with redemption steps. Until then, ignore “AOT codes” listicles that are secretly for Revolution.
First-hour checklist
Use this as a printed card:
- Gear NPC clicked, Y pressed, rejoin if frozen.
- Q/E hooks, Space or middle-mouse reel, Shift boost while airborne.
- G for gas, R when blades break.
- One building-to-building swing with leftover fuel.
- One blinded titan, one clean nape, then land.
- First skill: Gas Burst, logged on skill builds.
- Settings keybinds saved. Tab opens the menu in tester builds.
- Tier list skimmed so you know Gas Burst is not a meme pick.
- Scripts read only for safety — this game is a physics title, not an auto-farm title.
If you finish that list, you are ahead of most first-day scouts. Next reads: ODM controls, how to swing, then how to kill titans. If the store link errors, read game availability instead of a copycat. Come back here after every physics patch because spawn rules and gas numbers have already changed once during testing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Venture AOT questions.
I loaded in and cannot move. Is the game broken?
Usually not. Click the spawn NPC, equip the green prompt, press Y, and rejoin if you stay stuck. This is the most common first-join glitch in Venture AOT.
Where do I get ODM gear?
From the NPC at spawn. You cannot pull it from an inventory the way other AOT Roblox games do. After the NPC gives the kit, press Y.
Should I start in Lore Mode or Freeplay?
Start in Freeplay. Closed Community Lore Mode is for testers and structured sessions. Learn hooks and gas in Freeplay first.
Do I need codes before I play?
No. There are no confirmed public codes as of September 2026. Skill comes from physics practice, not a spin banner.
